cell phones

Does anyone know if cell phones can really cause brain tumors? So-called experts say it is just a bunch of hipe, but so-called experts are often very wrong.

A friend of mine's son died last week from brain cancer. It had been operated on a month or two ago but they were not able to get it all because it had gone down into the brain stem. At that time the doctor told him that it was from cell phone use and he had just operated on another person the week before. It was on the same side of his head that he holds the phone. I asked him if his son used the phone a lot and he said he had three of them and spent most of his days on them. I don't know if they really cause cancer, but it seems to make sense to me.

I've never used a cell phone, but I've heard that you can buy phones that shield you from the radiation, or possibly buy a device to put on the phone that does the same thing. Make sure the antenna is also shielded. If I ever had to buy or use a cell phone regularly, I would make certain that it was fully shielded. Why wait for the "experts" to decide? That could take years, and then what if they found out they do cause cancer?

Hi, Mary.

Listen to Nutmeg & Paul. I am absolutely convinced that, in genetically susceptible people, they DO cause brain tumors.

Until we get to the place where we can predict which of us ARE genetically susceptible to this (probably within the next 50 years), you can bet that the manufacturers of cell phones will deny, deny, deny. Remember the tobacco companies' history?

Hope this helps. I do not own one and WILL NOT!
