My grandmother has had T-cell lymphoma for the past year now. No conventional methods have worked. The doctors have given up on her, and she has received a life expectancy of 3-6 months. Is there any type of holistic treatments that could work in elongating her life? If anyone knows of anything I can do, or a clinic that I can take her to that could help her, please reply

What grade is the lymphoma? Low, medium, high?

She has a high grade. She is being told that she only has 3 months to live. We are going to try radiating it in order to relieve her of the pain that she is having to her organs. The cancer is strangeling some of her kidney. It has also caused the cavity just outside of her lungs to fill with liquid. I am not quite sure why that is happening, but she now has a tube that constantly drains it. Any advice?

Hi, Ellie.
This is far advanced, indeed!
See the cancer archives for what she can do even at this late date.

I went through this site to find new treatments we could use, and there is nothing more than what we are doing already. We have her on a vegetarian diet, she drinks carrot juice everyday and she never has any added sugar in her foods. She has just been told she also has pneumonia also, hence the liquid in her chest. I am not sure if there is anything else I can do. Please help.

Hi, Ellie.
She has already been on Macrobiotics? How long did she do it perfectly? When things are desperate it is best to have a live-in cook (Certified Macrobiotic Teacher) for a month or so or go to the Kushi Center in NY for a couple of weeks to learn how to do it yourself.
Have you contacted the Cancer Control Society? What did they say?
I am interested in your response to the above.

She did go on macrobiotics, but she did not follow through with them for a long period of time. It is hard for her to stay awake and alert, and sometimes acts like a child when we force her to eat or even take medications. I will think about getting a live in cook, do you know of any good agencies that are near the riverside area?

Thanks, Ellie.
Get "The International Macrobiotic Directory" by Bob Matson. It is updated annually. His number is (510) 601-1763. Your lending library can get it if they do not have it but it usually takes them 2 weeks to get it from their lending circuit.
OR, you can contact the Kushi Institute directly at (413) 623-5741 (or 2102).
Let us know what you learn and how she does.
