terminal ovarian cancer

Posted by jaritanna [1456.10] on February 09, 2005 at 05:03:50:

I have two questions. I have been fighting ovarian cancer for almost 7 years. It has returned for the third time and the doctor wasn't able to remove the tumor during surgery. I am going to start chemo again. My doctor has told me though that there is absolutely no cure for me. I feel sure she is right but I still wonder - has anyone ever been cured of ovarian cancer at this stage?

Also, I have been researching alternative and complimentary therapies but there is so much information on so many different therapies. How do I sort through it all and decide on the best one? I want to do anything that will give me more time. My doctor has given me a year max to live. I'm only 48. Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Remember Jon Benet's mother -Patsy Ramsey she had stage 4 ovarian and
she has lived something like 12-13 years since. She did NIH program, maybe
you could find out what she did. Check out Gerson therapy or Benefin which
is shark cartilage. There is a book out Sharks Don't Get Cancer. There is a MD
in Ohio who survived pancreatic cancer on shark powder. You can take it in
enema. Do you live in Texas? There are several good MD's there that do
alternative cancer therapies. God Bless You. I'll pray for you.

I know that the most cutting edge stuff is being done in Houston, Texas with stem cell/bone marrow treatments.

A family friend is in the process of that avenue after fighting ovarian cancer for many years. It is the most promising stuff I've seen.

Any web search of "stem cell" "ovarian cancer" and "texas" should put you on the right track for more information.

I know nothing about your illness nor can I offer any suggestions regarding treatment. I was touched by reading your posting as I am also 48 years old. I cannot image what you must be going through and have been through. I hope that you have many, many healthy days ahead and that you life here exists as long as you may want it to.

My mother in law was diagnosed with this disease over 2 years ago. It was stage IV being in her layers of tissue and her liver. She had massive radical chemo which almost killed her but she survived. It has since metastasized in her lymph nodes an liver again. Unfortunately, she won't consider any natural therapy or 3 legged stool as we may say.

My reason for writing is that through this whole course where there were so many times she really shouldn't be here with us, she has had an incredible remarkable attitude about the whole thing which I highly believe has kept her here with us. I think if you can find it in yourself to have a positive attitude, it is half the battle. I will pray for you and hope you the very best.

Hi Jaritanna,
Fasting is a powerful tool in beating cancer, read the site I provided link for. I had ening tumors and after two 10 day water fasts they dissapeared. My gyno told me that if he didn;t know that they used to be there, he would never be able to tell. Good luck to you!

Also, I know that you have already done quite a bit of research but you might search the site and the archives for information on cancer and/or ovarian cancer, while you wait for other responses.

So very sorry Jaritanna. Some things you might want to try:

read "Heal Your Life" by Louise Hay. She completely cured herself of terminal cancers, the doctors had given her only a very short time to live. It's a real inspiration, especially for someone in your condition.

follow the three legged stool here very strictly and do some extra SR

Do some liver/colon flushes, cleansing, and possibly some fasting

Try eating a raw foods diet for a while

Rent the movie "What The Bleep Do We Know"

Do a lot of praying and ask others to pray for you

Do some hobbies or anything that you really, absolutely love

Write in a journal

Take rides in the country

try doing some volunteer work and show as much love as you can towards others every day

Join a support group

Do lots of positive visualizations, I left a link below

And most of all, don't give up!

~~~
Best of luck,
gabs
Jaritanna, I forgot to mention listening to music as another great thing to do for yourself and most of all forgiveness. Try to forgive as much as you possibly can because holding in that anger is detrimental to one's health and healing.
I would immediately start on a few things that will up your
livers ability to deal with the toxicity. Calcium D Glucarate
and Taurine will do wonders and you can pick these up at any
health food store.
Second, I would look at alkalinizing your body with minerals
and cutting all sugar out of your diet. Much of the alkaline
theory of health is confusing BS but I can tell you that my
own health improved once I alkalinized.
I`m not saying these things will cure cancer...but they are
a big step in the right direction.
Hi, Jaritanna.
In my opinion the tragedy is that you were not steered to things you could do to improve your immunity 7 years ago!
Even now, at the very least, you can improve the quality of life you have left by going to the cancer archives and choosing the option that makes the most sense to you. The only thing that matters is that you do whichever approach you choose, perfectly.
If this were me, I would choose something like Macibiotics. However, the Cancer Society would be a good resource to have other options. The most conservative publication recently, for cancer options, is James Gordon, MD's "Comprehensive Cancer Care---Integrating Alternative, Complementary & Conventional Therapy". I am sure your library can find you a copy.
Let us know what you learn.
Walt
I just wanted to thank everyone for their comments and suggestions. I will try to listen to them all and follow something I can be comfortable with and believe in. I think all of the suggestions were very good. And it's true that I must be healthy emotionally and spiritually as well. Thank you all.
I don't want to claim a product cures cancer but I have been reading testimonials about mangosteen juice, many of whom have or had cancer and are seeing real results all the way from improvement to downright cures. I'm including a link to the site where the testimonials are. Click on the word messages to the left when you are in the site and then you can do a search in the little search window on cancer, etc. My husband and I have been doing research because his sister has cancer and have discovered a different brand than they are selling on the site that I listed here for you that has even more of the important ingredients in it and are inquiring of them about selling it. If you decide you want some just let me know here and I will let you know if we have made the arrangements with them or not and if not I will give you their site to buy from. We are taking the same brand you will be reading about if you decide to do so until we hopefully get some of this other more potent brand in. Also you might investigate cesium chloride on Neal Deoul's website.
Hi Jaritanna,
The Gerson Therapy has had many successes with stage 4 cancers, so I would not give up just yet.
Two therapies have a good track record with this ailment, Gerson as mentioned above as well as Dr. William Donald Kelly and his metabolic approach. His method ressembles the Gerson approach, but is less time consuming, and includes using pancreatic enzymes to "digest" the tumors. His book is published on the web, free of charge, so just do a google search and you will find it.
Also, please look up Mathias Rath. He discovered that vitamin C, the amino acids Lysine and Proline, as well as a green tea extract, prevents cancer from spreading and activates tumors to cannibalize themselves. This approach is a lot simpler that the two above, and in vitro studies prove this cocktail works. His website provides a free book and these supplements are available at your health food store.
I agree with Walt and encourage you to choose a method you feel excited about, and then stick to it 100%.
Good luck and God bless you.
MJ
