Dr. Stoll:
Serveral colleagues have informed me that Flax seed oil may cause an increase in the chance of developing prostate cancer. What do you think of this? I take 2 TBL of UDO's oil twice a day with ion exchange whey protein as part of my exercise/supplement regimen. Having had a prostate infection in the past, I am conerned about this, although I have seen only benficial effects (weight loss, digestion imporvement, skin looks better) form the oil usage thus far.
Please advise...

JT, I believe where this info is comming from is tainted or spoiled flax oil. This I have read and believe to be true. But in my opinion and everything I have read good flax oil is going to do nothing but help you. I have had nothing but good results from it and have taken it for years. Most men that I know who have taken it for awhile, there prostrate problems havbe all but disappeared. Flax oil does spoil and it needs to be frozen until you start using it. I have never taken capsules of flax oil because of this reason. Hope this helps some. Good luck

Hi, jt.
Listen to DaveTX.
I would like to see any research that shows this when care is taken to assure freshness. ANY randidity of ANY oil is a cancer risk.
