I am getting mixed responses on question "What are appropriate nutrients and supplements for chemo related to colon cancer?" I am told some antioxidants may in fact, counteract the chemo and protect cancer cells.

What you say is true. Some nutrients specifically work the opposite to some chemotherapies. Just THIS fact should make one sit up & take notice.
ANYHOW, the chemotherapist SHOULD know which nutrients for which poisons. Unfortunately, most do not & they just cover their own ( ) by telling people to stay off all of them. This is wrong! If it were me, I would insist on the chemotherapist explaining EXACTLY how any particular nutrient counteracts the particular chemotherapeutic agent & then avoid those s/he can provide that information about.
UNFORTUNATELY, many conventional practitioners are not willing to take the time to explain stuff. One would think that making $300,000.00 a year would be enough that they could afford to TAKE the time.
Let us know what you learn. It IS the responsibility of the chemotherapist to specifically teach the individual about this since it is THEIR specialty to do so.
