breast cancer

Posted by Sally on June 26, 1998 at 20:51:06:

My mother, a senior citizen, was diagonised with estrogen related breast cancer in 1993. She went through surgery, radiation, and has been taking Tamoxifen for 5 years. She received a clean bill of health in March ,5 years from her surgery. This week she had three lumps removed from her original incision and they were positive. She won't do chemo. Any suggestions of alternatives or where I can find information of other therapy?

Dear Sally,

Your mother has 3 options:

!. Elect to try to do this for herself--which will require a crash course in learning AND choosing something like strict Macrobiotics (call the Kushi Institute at (413) 623-5741 fir the closest Certified Instructor and information about it) to keep her alive long enough for her to learn how to reverse this.

2. Call the Cancer Control Society at (213) 663-7801 and ask for the most advanced alternatives and where to contact them.

3. Call Cancer Treatment Centers of America for inpatient training of how to combine alternatives with conventional treatment (800) 641-8333.

Let us know what you learn AND how she does. If you have more questions. please do not hesitate to write again.

Walt
