canker sores

a few days ago i woke up with a sore throat and my tongue had tiny sores on it. i thought they might be canker sores so i found this site. i found a lot of good info, but nothing to really help me. Later in the day i went to my family doctor. He diagnosed Thrush, a yeast infection, which he gave me a prescription for. i immediately started taking the medicine. That night I woke up and my throat was extremely painful. On a scale of 1-10 it was probably a 15,and the sores on my tongue were also extremely painful, this morning on the second day of medication, it seems to be less painful. I still can't eat anything, the only thing that helps the pain is iced tea and gargling with salt water. My doctor told me i may have developed this from recently taking antibiotics for a bronchial infection. All i know is that it has been an extremely painful few days, but i hope maybe this will help someone out there.

I dont know if this would be helped by anti candida treatments. btw what med does he have you on.

I went though a regimene of anti candida treatment; the all natural way.

I didnt have thrush but I still did the treatment to ferret out any candida or what not.

There is a lot of good info on this site about yeast; candida etc ...

I could probably list about 2 pages of good info: again this is only if thrush could be combated by a anti candida program.

Hi, Nellie.

If your doctor's diagnosis is correct, a much cheaper and immediately effective treatment would have been to paint your mouth with gentian violet. Messy but instantly effective. Usually only one painting is needed.

Look it up under treatment of thrush.
