Canker sores relief ... thank you Dr. Stoll!!

Posted by Karen on January 09, 2000 at 19:21:59:

Hi there Dr. Stoll,
I am new to your website but I am already a huge fan.

I did a web search to find help with a particularly bad bout of canker sores. I had already been using Benzocaine for days but it was doing nothing to help long-term; only freezing my lips temporarily (and making me talk funny!).

There were many sites with helpful information about what canker sores ARE, but not many with ideas for relief. Most just mentioned "being patient" and "they will go away" ... bla bla bla ... well it's hard to be patient when I have to work with the public day in and day out!

I found your GLYOXIDE solution absolutely fantastic. I live in Canada so I couldn't find it the first time I set out. But I came back to your site the next day and found a posting from "Jason in Canada" with the same problem. Your reply to him explained how to mix up GLYOXIDE at home.

As I'm sure is no surprise to you, it worked! I had to do it twice for one particularly nasty canker but it did the trick on the first try for the others. The cankers are still visible and healing, but they don't hurt, they're not hot as fire, and finally they're not swollen anymore!

So thank you Dr. Stoll for your incredibly helpful website, and thank you for being selfless enough to share this information with the public!! You saved me a long wait in a doctor's office!

Sincerely,
Canker-free Karen

Thanks, Karen, for your testimonial.

Testimonials seem to make more difference than anything I can say. Many people surfing the net for help have no real way of sorting the wheat from the chaff. Your note will help some of them.

Now it is time for you to be thinking about how to prevent them. I have improved the introduction to the Canker Sore archive. You might want to take a look.

Walt
