Canker sores on tongue

Posted by Nadeline on March 29, 2000 at 21:41:35:

I have a constant recurrance of canker sores on the outer edges of my tongue. It seems they pop up several at a time and by the time they finally quit being a nuisance (maybe 7 - 10 days) I have two or three days free, and then notice a new batch coming. I have for many years gotten them in my gumlines and that seems to occur in spells in the spring and then again in the fall. One will appear and then about the time it is fading another next to it and so on from one side of my mouth to the other. But this thing with them on the tongue, often on the end, has been more constant for the last several years. What an irritation!!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time!

Hi,Nadeline

I used to have several in my gumline as well and then an occassional one on my tongue. Seemed like the ones on tongue would never go away.

Might input "tongue" into the search engine on upper right portion of this post and research through the archives.

There's a wealth of information in archives available to you. I'm still finding myself going to the archives for more information on some of my medical problems. Thankfully those problems are decreasing through SR & Soma/Rolfing.

Good Luck

Paulette

Hi, Nadaline.

First, this is almnost certainly due to your toothpaste (Paulette, too.).

Call (877) 718-0718 (toll-free) or contact them by squigle@zdnetmail.com email.

After about 3 months of using this kind of toothpaste, let us know what is happening.

Hi, DR Stoll

That's a shocker to hear it's due to my toothpaste. Odd as well since I changed toothpaste a few weeks ago to Tee Tree Oil Toothpaste. Possibly that's the reason I'm no longer plagued with the sores on the tongue.

Perhaps, the others will take a little longer. Let me know.

Paulette
