Recurrent Canker Sores

Dear Dr. Stoll,
I have had the worst case of canker sores ever. I have about 5 right now. I've been reading a lot and talking to people and am wondering if you could help me piece it all together. I've read about Glyoxide and have been using it for years if/when a sore would develop. It helped then, but not now? Why? Can it get old? Can I become immune to it? Also, I've heard about how stress can assist in sore growth. But, I haven't seemed to have any amount of stress lately. In fact I'm the happiest and the most relaxed I've been in years using meditation and exercise in my daily program, and have a very happy job and relionship. My diet changed as of yesterday to one of more proteins, vegetables, and fruits. My diet for a long time was made up of pastas, cheese, and salads and that's about it! Also, my toothpaste has SLS and I've read that that can be a problem. I've also read about LGS. How can I be sure about my health status on this issue? And one more thing, I've been locking my jaws when I sleep because it helps me to keep the back of my throat open more so I can breathe when I sleep. Right now I have a mosquito-bite-looking mark on both inner sides of my cheeks. And though they didn't turn into canker sores, I developed sores higher up from each of them. I'm a singer and public speaker and this has caused a great problem. Help!
