Dear Lea,

Thanks for bringing this up!

I know of no universal agreement of the "cause" of canker sores & believe this to be true since the causes are multifactorial. YOU have mentioned several of these factors & I would bet that there are many more to be yet discovered. Fortunately, our bodyminds are powerful enough that we do not have to discover & deal with EVERY cause for us to not have the problem.

Since it is still likely that some organism will be found to be associated with chronic canker sores, it likely will be found to be contagious under suscpetible circumstances. It is the genetic susceptibility pattern that determines whether the person will show up with canker sores, arthritis, hypertension, atherosclerosis, herpes, AIDS, colitis, cancer, etc.,-------------NOT the causes. That is why ALL chronic conditions will improve by people practicing wellness.

Whether canker sores are transmissable is more a factor of the other person's general level of health than anything else.

Perhaps, eventually, it will be found that there is NO organism involved in this complex of causes (I would seriously doubt that) and even if there is, that it is a very minor part of the equation. I will await the day that we know everything about canker sores before discussing it further.

I cannot disagree with the causes you have listed, only that I am sure that there is more to it and that an organism is just as likely as any other cause.

Thanks, again.

If canker sores are contagious, how can they be spread? Can they be spread by sharing a drink, drooling on a pillow or sneezing accidently on someone? How contagious are they actually?

Dear Marti,

Since whether one "gets" canker sores is much more a function of that person's immunity, than it is of exposure....

However, if your immunity is not so good, you might even get them without any "exposure". ALL of the things you mentioned would count as "exposure".

Without the use of drugs what is the best way to avoid soars on the genitles and how do you get rid of them after you get them. Is pain and swelling always a part of a break out. Can a person infected with it be reinfected causing the same simptoms as before when the disease was first detected, eg. pain on the lifth nodes in the crotch, other bumps and soars on the buttocks. How long do these legons take to go away.

Dear Mack,

The answers to your questions are TOTALLY based on the actual diagnosis. Since there are at least a dozen causes of what you are describing, you will need to go to a dermatologist (when you have active lesions) and get an accurate diagnosis. You may need a biopsy.

THEN, once you have a diagnosis, write again.

I have stopped eating nuts. I don't eat peanuts.
I don't eat any meat or fish.
I eat goat dairy products.
I am intolerant and edgy though I feel its easy to eat the type A way.Is the virus making me feel so strange?
Thank you in advance.

Your immunue system is still compromised. "Detox" will continue indefinitely, or until
such time as you strengthen it to resist current and further
incursions. Before you experience another outbreak, you may
wish to pick up a book called "Wipe Out Herpes with BHT" by
John A. Mann and Steven Wm. Fowkes.

Even though BHT is not something that you would necessarily
want to use long term (much like Colloidal Silver)
for what is ailing you it may buy you enough time to correct
your immune system problem.

You will have to institue a system of effective relaxation
and along those lines it would be helpful if you either got
Walt's book or else started Alpha-level Guided Meditation
with the emphasis on "health."

There are many tapes a CD's which are specifically tailored
to making the immune system healthy & functional again.

See the links page for more information, and consider that
the D'Adamo diet, in its current form, may be part of the

Dear Heidi,

The only thing I have seen reliably resolve chronic herpes is a serious wellness program along with at least 1 gram of lysine daily and a low arginine diet (which you seen to already know something about with the dietary changes in your note).
