My mom is having this problem and it is getting worse. She used to practice SR, but got away from it, I am trying to get her started on it again. Her diet could be better, tho she is taking some good supplements, including the forms of cal. & mag. recommended by Dr. Stoll, a whole food multi, Perfect Food, and now adding lots more ascorbic acid.
Does anyone here know of anything I might be overlooking? Nothing seems to be working as well as hoped (though i believe the SR will help greatly if she can apply it routinely.)
Thanks so much.

Hi, PeterB.
I have yet to see a non-organic case of AF that did not respond to magnesium and SR. If she will not do the SR, she is going to need some form of digitalis (that selectively poisons the atrial muscle so it cannot send the message to the ventricles), and anticoagulatants so the quivering atrium is less likely to "throw a clot" into her brain or lungs.
Both of these are very dangerous meds but she will really have no choice if she is really stubborn.
Have her doc explain her options.
Good luck.

Walt, I carefully read your response to my mom over the phone (more than once, actually) when she was crying about how scared she is to take the coumadin and lanoxin she was just prescribed. For one, my brother was upsetting her with quotes by Dr Bruce West out of his newsletter. We just picked up these "medicines" today after being at the cardiologist for many hours, not something I wanted to do, but something i felt was necessary in light of the urgency of her symptoms. The problem with mom is that she truly believes in holistic medicine but wants it to be as easy as popping a pill, so the realization that SR is even more powerful is hard to get across to her. I decided to go the conventional route with her only because I have serious doubts she will practice wellness effectively. But through her tears, I managed to talk her into putting forth a real effort and maybe avoid the risks in taking this crap, if she will practice wellness.
I have read lots of your commentary discussing the benefits of IV magnesium and wonder if you know of a doctor in Atlanta who does this? I took my mom to Millennium Health Care (found them listed thru AHHA), but ended up being referred to a traditional cardiologist, who prescribed her the coumadin and lanoxin.
Many thanks to you, Doc.

Thanks, PeterB.
Use the holistic practitioner archives to find someone to help her with this.
