To Bill who wrote on 8/23 about magnesium & atrial fib

Bill, when you take a 400mg magnesium complex (oxide, ..., ..., ..., ...), you may be gettin 395mg oxide and almost none of the more absorbable. My atrial fibrillation has improved SO MUCH (from 1-2 episodes per WEEK to 1 episode per MONTH!) since I switched from taking a daily 400mg magnesiuim complex to taking 200mg magnesium glycinate with breakfast and 200mg magnesium orotate with lunch. (Magnesium orotate is so much more expensive than blycinate, that I hope eventually to switch to 2-200mg glycinate and drop the expensive orotate. But at moment I don't want to mess with my success.)
Once a month is still too much, but I haven't really gotten started on twice daily SR. Have practiced it only a few times since I started reading this BB and Dr. Stoll's book. Think my problem was that I waited until I was tired to practice, and then fighting off sleep while practicing was very unpleasant. The last time, my wife insisted we practice first thing in morning, and it was much more pleasant. We've now committed to practicing first thing every morning, beginning tomorrow. Don't know when we'll be able to add the 2nd daily practice. Too much going on during day and by evening we're pooped. Will be interested to hear if you duplicate my improvement by switching to better form of magnesium.

Thanks Peter. My problem is that I live in Canada
and I can't seem to find a good source of magnesium
orotate, asporotate or glycinate here. I may have
to order it from the US. Does anyone here know of
a good source to order from the internet
I get short 10 - 15 second bouts of paroxsymal atrial
tachycardia which sometimes turns into A-fib quite
often. It seems to be worse when my bowels act up.
(probably due to leaky gut or yeast?)
I ordered the Relaxtion Workbook recommended by Dr
Stoll and also a sound and light machine so I am waitng for
that to arrive. I have been trying to do SR (basic meditation) every day but not very good at it yet. Hope these things will work. I have been struggling with
these health problems for about 10 years now.
Thanks Peter again for your help.

Bill

Dear Peter,

Thanks for your helpful post. The VERY BEST TIME for the practice of SR is the first thing in the morning. THEN, if you can't find time for the second time, this should say something to you about your choice of pace of life.

Your dysrrhythmia is trying to tell you that your present pace is too pressing. Time for you to listen.

The company, AMNI, that Peter mentioned has a number you can call - 1-800-356-4791. This is NOT a plug! I don't work for this company or have any association, etc. I simply take some of their products. They have a great multi-vitamin that has plenty of magnesium in it. Or you can get the magnesium glycinate. Good luck. I personally think that magnesium, exercise and SR (especially) have helped me a lot with my heart flutters (PVCs).

I order both the KAL magnesium orotate and the AMNI magnesium glycinate from the Web, www.VitaminShoppe.com

You can also call same company at (800)223-1216.

Thanks again Peter. I really appreciate your help.
This message board is really great. It has given me
new hope for improving my health again.
I have learned much from reading all the posts
and information from DR. SToll

Thanks, Kathy.

Your testimonial should help some "fence-sitters" begin to real;ize that theri conventional docs are not telling them all of their options.
