Dr. Stoll:
In a recent post you mentioned that LGS and bracing are part of my problem.
I have tried up to 1200mgs a day of magnesium Glycinate for my arrythmia it did not seem to help. Ny doctor seems to think I have some type of electrical problem causing the atrial fib. Possible "pulmoniary vein focus" seems to be the buzzword.
Are you saying that SR will "cure" my arrythmia? As to leaky get I am looking for a specific book to heal myself of this condition. As I mentioned i have been getting GERD, which is a possible side effect of the calcium blocker that I am on.
Much Thanks
Paul

Hi, Paul.
If you have noticed in the archives I say that, most commonly, if low magnesium is contributing to a symptom, it is low enough that "perversely" it becomes less absorbable orally and IV magnesium is needed for a few weeks to get the level up the place where one CAN maintain it orally. The protocol for the IVs is in the archives as well.
Since the 2 most commonly missed causes for this condition are stored hypothalamic stress-effect and low intracellular magnesium (unually combined in any individual) SR is at least as important as raising intracellular magnesium in resolving this problem--although either, by itself, MIGHT resolve the condition for a long time. It is just that the magnesium part is easier and quicker not that it is more important.
Hope this helps.
Walt
