I have had bouts with A.F. for over 9 years (since 1990).
Bouts used to last anywhere from 2 hours to 24 hours, as often as 1_3 times per week.
Bouts initiated invariably between 0100-0300 AM.
They invariably were paired with symptoms of indigestion, and what appeared to be a feeling of tightning of the Asophagus.
In 1995 I was put on Rythmol, 4x 150 mg/daily, and 5-6.5 mg. coumadin , depending on my I.N.R.
It controlled my A.F. to occasional bouts of seconds to a few minutes.
After I retired in 1997, I gradually cut the dosage down by 75 mg. each time, in 3week interfalls.
I am down now to 75mg. Rythmol twice daily, and once daily with coumadin 6.5 mg. as a safety precaution.
I can precipitate A.F. by eating a fat meal late in the evening, or by excessive fatigue. The A.F. still start at o100-0300 AM. Now may be once or twice monthly for afew minutes to may be two hours. When it occurs I take 150mg Rythmol. My cardiologists never ever saw a case like this before, and do not understand it. I read the posted A.F. files and am interested in the magnesium metabolisme aspect. How do you think it applies to me? I do not like taking Coumadin or Rythmol.

Dear Hendrik,
Since intracellular magnesium deficiency is the most common undiagnosed cause of AF, and replacing it cannot cause harm, one would think that that would be the FIRST thing any cardiologist would do.
Why not give it a try?
If is were me, however, I would have more respect for my bodymind than to continue to go to those "physicians" who have to be intentionally ignorant. The world medical literature has known this fact for more than 20 years.
I would at least find someone close who was competent to be a consultant to my own knowledge about the problem.
Get copies of ALL of your records in your home as the first step in getting back in control of your own life. If you don';t know how to find a competent physician about this, let me know & I can help.

For atrial fibrillation my doctor put me on 200 mg./da COQ10
and additionally I take Concentrace Trace Mineral drops 1/4 tsp,3X a day plus magnesium glycinate (3) 100 mg. tablets.
Also take Bone Builder, Ca citrate and all that Dr. Stoll
recommends. I cannot say that my solution is right for you but even my doctor did not attach the importance to minerals
that he should have. Anyway, I haven't had a missed beat
since starting the mineral drops. Now I have a chiropractor
that knows more about nutrition than any doctor I have found in my area. He even read and digested my history that I gave him. Martha

Thanks, Martha!
Your testimonial will help others realize that there is likely a solution to their AF problem that their "docs" have not told them.
