heart out of rhythm

Posted by Barbara Dusel on June 09, 1998 at 20:02:32:

I am sorry that I have not been reading the archives lately.
My husband's father just had shock treatment on his heart
today. They used some type of paddles on the heart. It did not work and he was just lying there and weakly said "Did it work?" The Doctors at Lourdes Hospital, to my knowledge, have said there is only one more thing to try - two medicines have failed - I think they are going to try one more medicine. We are in Louisville, so we might not be able to do anything anyway - he is in Paducah. Do you have any ideas? I should have written to you earlier. Not sure I can get back on here tonight to retrieve a message because of incoming phone calls about this but I will try. Thank you for any referral or information you might give me.

Dear Barbara,

The first thing to check is his intracellular magnesium. How to do that IS in the archives under Cardiac Dysrrhythmias (all dysrrythmias basically have the same causes).

I have seen "sound therapy" resolve dysrrhythmias in a few minutes after cardioversion & multiple medications didn't work.

Finally, he would greatly benefit from reading "Mind as healer, Mind as Slayer" by Dr Pelletier. Hypothalamic overload is perhaps the most common cause of refractory dysrrhythmias--this has been known for 50 years & I will bet that no one has said a word about it. Resolution does not require expensive techniques, hospitalzation or prescription drugs. Where is the money in that?

Call Dr Wolverton, across the river from LVL or Kirk Morgan, in Prospect, for how to check the intracellular magnesium & correct it.

Write with more questions.

Walt
