Do I have CFS

Hi doctor,

My name is Alberto. I was taking an anti-depresant for 3 years. Effexor was the drug name. I stopped taking it in february of 2002. In march i started to develop withdrawals symptoms and feeling of fatigue. In may feeling good mentally but still fatigue i started to develop more pain in my joints and muscles. I started to have problems while sitting. My symptoms are fatigue not to the point that i don't want to do anything. I still work and do a lot of things around the house. I don't have the flu, and i don't have the enlarge lymp nodes. I in contact with an Neurologist that says the drugs have cause this to me (which i believe, cause it only started after stopping the drug). She says that IV Treatment is going to help. Is this a full blown case of CFS? and Does IV treatment will help? My main worry is this pain while i sit in my ischium bones and also on all my bones (like the drug addicts when they stopped the drugs). Sorry for the long message.

Thank your help
Alberto

Hi, Alberto.

My first question is: WHAT KIND OF IV? It is likely that this will just be another symptomatic aproach just like the drugs that got you into trouble already.

Until you can approach this from understanding the causes, every year will be worse. What have you learned from the CFS archives and the fibromyositis archives and the bracing archives?

Walt
