Chronic fatigue/ EBV

Just got diagnoised with the syndrome and I am a little relieved as I was beginning to think I was going crazy. I don't even want to get out of bed. I am so tired all the time and my body aches and aches. My marriage is on the rocks because my husband refuses to believe there is anything wrong with me even though he was right in the doctor's office when I was diagnoised. He says there isn't anything wrong with me that getting off my fat butt and going to the gym won't help. How do you convince people around you that this is legit. I swear it is making me so stressed out all I do is cry and sleep :) Any advice on getting my energy back? I have recwently started taking lexapro and anti depressant I have only been on it for two weeks so I hope it will start helping.

hey there...
i have been suffering from the same thing for years and i'n only 27.it is hell..especially trying to get others to understand..my advice is to search the net and get good info..prnit it off and get him to read it..or get a book and get him to read it..go to an online support group for CFS and or spouses and get one of the spouses of a CFS sufferer to write a little something to your hubby or chat with him on the phone or online..the more educated he is sbout this and what you are actually going thru the more he'll be able to understand and beleive you...but hey..i've done the ant-depressant thing..all sorts of em..and althought i think they are helpful at times )because it si very depressing having chronic fatigue) get yourslef to a naturalpath..you have to look inot healing yourself naturally..and u can do it..dont let anyone ever tel you you have to live with this...look up adrenal fatigue online and that may be what you are really suffereing from...ant-depressants may help..but onlt tempoararliy and in the long run they will only make things worse..you have to get to the heart of the problema nd heal yourown body....good luck

You don't sound like you have a support system and your husband sounds like an ignorant insensitive idiot...and that's who I sweeten how I feel of him.
SO - my advice is to distance emotionally from him on this subject and get a support system. Learn how to deal with it as if you were single and leave him out of the loop since he will only degrade you and make you feel worse.

Molly,
You may have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, or it may be Fibromyalgia Syndrome.
Many doctors think that these two are actually the same thing, but that fibromyalgia has more muscle aches and chronic fatigue has fevers and swollen lymph nodes.

If you do online research, you'll find many websites that will promise to cure you if you send them your money. Hah. Take it "with a grain of salt."

Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum has a good site about fibromyalgia, with many helpful suggestions.
https://www.jacobteitelbaum.com/jthome.nsf

There are many support groups, here is a nice one:

You should also be aware that research has shown that many cases of fibromyalgia are due to tick-borne diseases, such as the bacteria that causes Lyme Disease.
Here is a site that offers alot of information:
http://www.lymenet.org/

Good luck in your search for information.
Carol B.

I cured mine by drinking energized water. The instructions are on www.energizedwater.info. It works very fast, it's easy to do, and it's free - so why not try it.

Carol,

Same condition. It is genetic make up that determines which the individual will experience.

Molly,

Se my responce to Shannon. You, too, can be like her (having this for years) OR you can deal with the causes right now by going to the home page, archives and glossary about these conditions and their causes, interrelationships and what you can do about them.

Let us know what you learn and how you do.

Walt
