oral chelation

dr. stoll

i looked through your archives and found only one post regarding "oral" chelation for a high uric acid level. i know you are a proponent of chelation therapy with the success you have had. do you have an opinion of "oral" chelation? there is a product (oral chelating formula with magnesium edta) put out by nutralife laboratories. since hearing about this product, i was wondering if you had any thoughts about this type of modality? any information would be appreciated.

Hi, Andy.

Guess I am going to have to start an archive about oral chelation to avoid retyping this informaton so many times.

IV chelation has at least 2500 world literature research articles suporting the effectiveness of this technique--once symptoms of vascular insufficiency are present. To MY knowledge there are NONE for "oral chelation" that exceed placebo effects (35% in double blind studies and 70% in non-blinded studies).

In MY opinion, oral chelation likely would help prevent these kind of problems IF it was started at least 20 years prior to the onset (hard to prove, except statistically, over MANY people). Human nature tells us that few people will do something like this until they are desperate with serious symptoms.

Hope this helps.

Walt
