Chelation (oral) My dad's testimonial and my question

Dr. Stoll, my parents swear by the chelation therapy, having gone to Mexico a couple years ago and having the IV
put in. My father did suffer a slight stroke in Dec. 2000,
he had numbness in fingers, shoulder and right leg. He was able to do therapy and get his legs working, he ordered oral chelation from Nutralife Lab's in Orange, CA, and the feeling has come back in his right hand and shoulder! The family doctor said he would never get it back. I have ordered some oral chelation for me and my husband and am
trying to protect us from heart attack and stroke altho we are young and healthy no smokers, high blood pressure controlled by meds right now. Hubby is 62 and I am 53. I just read a False report on Nutralife Labs from the search engine dogpile on web, and am concerned about the oral chelation we are now taking, should I be concerned???
I am type A personality and have a hard time relaxing, had bleeding ulcers in colon, and have pain from time to time, xanax seems to help. My father also has a friend from Maryland whose leg was black and has returned to normal color from using oral chelation. The older folks in Fla seem to really believe in this chelation thing, and my father and his friend are proof that something is working!!
How do we know we have a truly good product, and are there false claims about the research that Nutralife Labs is doing??

Sheryl,

could you explain your dad's experiences a little better ?
Did he have the stroke After the IV chelation and then
improve with the oral ones ??

I know 2 people who had the IV and one was supposedly
helped and the other was said to have problems but they
had many illneses. I local radio talk show hosts raves
about his treatment.

I think I would like to know I needed it before having it
done in case there could be any negative effects on a
healthy body.

Have you heard that Lecithin could clear blocked arteries?

To VInce: My dad had his stroke 3 years after the IV chelation he had in Mexico. He did not take any oral chelation until AFTER the stroke, he is wishing he had kept the chelation up instead of stopping it. He had angioplasty a few years ago too, and had the iv chelation after he had the angioplasty. He is taking it now like I am for a prevention method, from what I read it sure won't hurt you any, it is just like all the Vit. E,folic acid, ascorbic acid, calcium supplements. I had heard that lecithin could help , and I take extra 'e' whenever I have a fatty dinner like Long John Silvers (arare treat).

Sheryl,

How many of the IV treatments did your dad have ?? If he
went to Mexico to get them it sounds like he didn't have
many.

Hi, Sheryl.

It is very unusual for oral chelation to reverse an already extant condition by itself. That is when IV chelation shines.

Oral chelation works over a long period of time. I am not familiar with the NutraLife product.

For what you have described for yourself, SR would be MUCH more effective than chelation for you.

Hi Sheryl,

My husband (61) had a MAJOR stroke (hemorrhagic) in December. Right side totally paralyzed - doctors didn't think he'd ever walk or move his arm again. But he is walking (with a hemiwalker) and can move his arm in all directions, though these movements are still unfocused much like a baby's grasp for something.

My point is this. With good rehab and time and luck I guess some of these movements come back on their own. He never had oral chelation. So your Dad's improvement most likely would've have happened without him doing anything more than rehab.

Does that make sense? I often wonder how we lump two things together in life as cause and effect when they are quite unrelated. This is not saying that oral chelation will not be beneficial, but that it probably wasn't the direct cause for his improvement. I may even try it on my husband to see if he can regain more feeling in his right side. If it doesn't do harm, I see no reason why not give it a shot. For prevention purposes, though you may be wasting your money.
