DR. STOLL, Can DMSO/DMSA treat Morphea?

Posted by Natasha's Mom on May 01, 2001 at 12:42:38:

My eight year old daughter has been diagnosed with Morphea.
Recently, I took her to see a certified chelation therapist
after reading how chelation therapy helps with
scleroderma. I asked the doctor for a hair analysis on my
daughter and sure enough high levels of alumiminum,
antimony, lead and uranium were detected. He then ordered a
follow up 24 hr. urine elemental analysis, which confirmed
these elevated metals in her system, plus two more: arsenic
and mercury. He is now treating my daughter with DMSA (250
mg.) twice a week for 10 weeks. After that time, he will
recheck her urine collection. Now, why none of this
surprises me is that when my daughter was nine months old,
she had a severe adverse reaction to her immunizations
(polio, DTP Td DT, HIB and Hepatitis B - 2nd boosters) which
she received all at the same time. I have since learned that
mercury and aluminum are commonly used as adjuvants in
vaccines to boost their effectiveness. I've also heard that
Thimersal has become the most widely used preservative in
vaccines. I feel certain that my daughter was poisoned by
the vaccines. I have not had her immunized since. If mercury
and aluminum are used in vaccines, do you believe there
could be other heavy metals used in vaccines we are not
aware of? Do you believe there is a link between heavy
metal toxicity, scleroderma and vaccines? Do you believe
DMSO/DMSO (are these the same thing?) is the best way to
treat Morphea? Thank you for your ti

Hi, Natasha' Mom.

I don't think that ANYONE yet knows the "best" way to treat morphea. However, wellness helps every chronic condition to different degrees.

Heavy metals would certainly be a significant factor burdening the metabolic processes deranged in the condition.

At least as effective as any chelation would be a perfect whole foods diet and trying to get her to learn some form of SR. See Deborah Rozman's classic "Meditating With Children".

Let us know how she does.

Walt
