I had a C3 C4 fusion after MRI,Mylogram,2 nerve conduction test led to a neck problem.
After surgery Surgeon said C3 HUGE bulge.
I tolerated plate, screw. hip graph surgey well.
The problem is I have far more painful symptoms now than before surgey.
I had surgery 4 weeks ago.
My surgeon is no help.
He did a MRI 3 days after surgery -all clear.
I am getting concerned.
Please offer any help/advice
Thank you

Hi, Belva.
What have you learned from the spinal archives?
It seems that you are one of the 30% who get worse following surgery. 30% get better and 30% stay the same.
MY hunch is that you were not told this and were not given the options you had BEFORE your surgery.
Let us know what you learn.

was this fusion following a cervical herniation?
little can be done now....
go, RUN to an experienced chiropractor that can work on the adjacent segments, C1, C2 and C5, and relieve nerve pressure.
surgery is the very-very last resort, always.
I had several patients walking in my practice with cervical surgery scheduled, and now are all walking around herniation-free (and surgery-free!).
use a lot of nutrition support, exp. flaxseed oil+wheat germ oil mixed togheter, 2 tbsp per day, and magnesium.
drink a lot of veggie juice as well.

Thanks, Ricky DC.
I am waiting for the day when every spinal surgeon will be required to send any surgical candidate to a Chiropractor prior to surgery! It will eventually come but in the meantime the monopoly is doing very well (money wise), thank you very much.

as far as I can tell, it's only getting worse....I keep seeing young folks in their thirties getting lumbar herniation surgeries (usually orthopedists are to blame, neurosurgeons are a bit more cautious...), because of some MILD disc bulging!!! of course they get worse right after, and are offered more surgery!!
they come to me for an opinion, but often are so brainwashed (we have to operate NOW! it is VERY bad! you could be PERMANENTLY injured in your spinal cord...) that I cannot convice'em to at least try a set of few adjustments to see how it goes......:((
...I guess it's their karma...bof, I don't take it on me anymore....;)
