I'm a dizzy blond....

Posted by MP on November 29, 1998 at 03:35:09:

Walt, Robert, anyone???

I have been having problems with dizziness on and off for about 5 years now. One doctor says it's a sinus problem, even though I had no other symptoms of a sinus problem. My blood sugar levels were tested by another doctor, and they came back normal. However, there was no fasting involved beforehand--he just took blood as a last minute option--so I don't really believe the results are valid. I do have allergies to pollens, molds, dusts and animals, and I believe I also have a major candida problem judging by my IBS and toenail troubles. I am starting a skilled relaxation program--but what, if anything, can you tell me about this dizziness?? I am SO sick of it!!
P.S. The dizziness I experience isn't like room spins--it feels like my brain is "zig-zagging" back and forth in my head, if that makes any sense. Thank you so much. I love your site--I feel like I can take control of my life here.

Hi, MP.

Blonds have more fun (sigh).

The most likely missed cause of your "dizziness" would be structural. If Doc Dave does not give you some ideas in a few days, write again & put his name in the title to draw his attention.

Also, you would benefit from looking into TMJ, plagiocephaly (Cranial Osteopathy) and Rolfing.

Much of this can be found in the archives for this 'site.

THEN, if you still have questions, write again.

Walt

Thanks for the push in the right direction, Dr. Stoll. I'll look through the archives and eagerly await "Doc Dave's" response. By the way, I love your site! Thank you for having it! Oh, Doc Dave, if you read this, I might add that the dizziness almost always comes on suddenly when I look to the ground. Thanks!

Dr. Stoll is 100% correct. The cause of your problem is likely structural. Chiropractic care and skilled relaxation are the safest and most effective way to overcome your blondness...er, I mean dizziness he he he ;-)

If you need help finding one in your area, just let me know where you are and I will be happy to give you a couple names.

Best Wishes.

Cervicogenic vertigo is caused by functional disorders of the
craniocervical joints. Improvement of vertigonous symptoms by chiropractic
treatment was often described.......................In our opinion chiropractic treatment is
mandatory for the therapy of patients with vestibular affections and
functional disorders of the craniovertebral joints.

Hi Doc Dave, I'm not blond but, dizzy might be a word used to describe me at times :-) I am wondering if you might be able to recommend a chiropractor in Manhattan, KS. I have seen chiropractors but it has been about 5 years since I have worked with one. I gave up going because I found that the work I was doing on myself was more effective and that there some things that I needed to do (e.g. skilled relaxation, dietary changes, exercise). So what I am interested in is a practitioner that is open to being a healing partner, not just someone to work on me and have me coming in to their office 3X week for years (been there done that). Truly I have come a very long way in my own process, but I feel like I could benefit from a competent chiropractor that has some nutritional expertise and is willing to learn. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Namaste
Denise (in the Little Apple)

I'll see what I can come up with. BTW, anyone who has you coming 3x/wk for years, or even months, is either not doing things right, not aware of right from wrong, or is obviously following the path of $$$$$$$. Sorry to hear about ANY Dr. out there who does such things.

I will try to find someone in my magic book at the office tomorrow.

I couldn't come up with any in your area who claim nutritional expertise so just call these up and talk to them. Anyone who you would want to see should be willing to take the time to discuss whatever you want.

Dr. Brian Sorell 776-7568
Dr. Linda Consigli 776-1850
Dr. Eric Keating 537-8305

I don't know any of them personally and have based my decision solely on the school they went to and what techniques they claim to practice. Best Wishes.

A Chriopractor in Eugene, OR

I know it's a two hour drive to see my chiropractor. But I think it would be worth it. He stays on the cutting edge and uses kinesiology to listen to each body individually. He specializes in metabolics and believes that "biologoic terrain" is where it's at. He is such a gentle, caring, open minded, healer. I could talk about him for days. He has a waiting list - but you never know what might happen. His name is Rick Schwartz and his number is (541) 484-6055. Email me directly if you want to chat more. He is the only practioner I've seen for the last 5 years.
