CELEBS FOR PROTECTING NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENTS

FEBRUARY 12. The European Union recently issued directives about nutritional supplements to its member nations. Many observers conclude that these draconian measures will effectively remove several hundred supplements from the shelves of stores in Europe.

The current issue of the ICHF Newsletter (International Council for Health Freedom---ichf.org) reports on a counter-campaign:

"Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Elton John are high-profile celebrities who have joined a nationwide campaign demanding government action to prevent the demolition of the natural health industry in the United Kingdom via the European Union (EU)food supplement 'directives.'

"...Campaign backers are incensed that the EU laws are being packaged as 'promotion of free trade' when in reality they are a device to put out of business major competition for the synthetic drugs industry.

"...information is available on the Internet from Friends of Freedom at www.Friendsoffreedom.org"

Here is a cause to get involved in. As you can see, the whole idea behind "free trade" is "not free trade."

This perversio, of course, goes far beyond nutritional supplements. It's really a form of favoritism for mega-corporations disguised as "jobs and a better life for all," or some such.

Every US presidential candidate from either of the two major parties is vetted on this topic before he gets to walk through the door into nomination. Clintin, Bush, it doesn't matter. They salute this flag or they're on the fringes begging for nickels.
