Hi everyone,
Here is the Senate Bill number and contact information needed to oppose the legislation that will make vitamins/herbs/minerals available only through a prescription.
Again, if this speaks to you please spread this information far and wide!
Be Well,

Stop Senate Bill 722
I received a notification that there is a bill coming before the Senate
introducted by a Senator in Illinois - Dick Durbin (D), who is trying to
get the Supplemental and dietary Act that was passed in 1994 revoked.
Which means we would no longer be able to buy and sell any kind of
viatmin, herbal or mineral supplements without strict controls such as by
prescription from a doctor (who don't know beans from bats about
supplements and herbs). I will find out more about this and let you know so
you can get the info out to your list about contacting their congressmen
about getting this bill stopped.
This pending legislation would grant "extreme and unnecessary expansion of FDA authority over dietary supplements".
You can email your senator thru this website -- and, there is a complete discussion of the implication of the bill there, as well.

Misty, thank you for your vigilance. we need about 10 millions Americans sending letters, making calls, and boycotting as many pharmaceutical products as possible from this point on. we've got to hurt them where it counts, in the pocketbook.

you don't understand the way investors think. I do this for a living. if shareholders of those companies see a reduction in POTENTIAL revenue growth as a result of bad press or boycotting due to CODEX, they will put the necessary pressure directly on company mgmt to rethink controversial strategies. The trick is wake America up and show them that CODEX is extremely controversial. Another angle is the fact that if 10M Americans were truly protesting this, politicians in Washington would be FORCED to listen to voters because lobbyists can't buy you a seat in the Senate (reliably.)

Thanks, PeterB.
If only the public was as knowledgeable and organized as the PTB. If it does not do something soon we are going to have a big uphill fight on our hands.
The PTB will keep on coming until they are either shown that it is to their avantage to promote health OR until they are utterly destroyed.
