The Bolen Report --straight talk! (Archive in CODEX)

Declaration Of War To Oppose HR 3156...
--from The Bolen Report
Be it hereby declared that the citizenry of the United States is at war with its elected officials over free access to dietary supplements without interference by federal health agencies that now distribute misinformation regarding these products.

The Vitamin Wars - The Battle Intensifies...
Many people believe we are fighting for our lives. I was not sure about this, so I decided to try an experiment. After 30 years of faithful daily high dose vitamin taking, I stopped, about June 21st. By July 10th I was feeling so ill, with numbness in my fingertips, out of breath, unable to concentrate, and uncomfortable heart palpitations, that I ended the one month experiment early and started taking my supplements again. Within about 48 hours I was feeling normal. Now I know what I'm fighting for. If I'm ever deprived of the nutrients I've been taking, it is the same as a death sentence. I know what I'm fighting for. Do you? - Ralph Fucetola, JD

Public Enemy Number One?

Illinois Senator Dick Durbin keeps introducing bills that would set back or over-turn DSHEA, regulate foods as drugs, or otherwise benefit pharmaceutial interests. The current threat is [DURBIN AMENDMENT TO REPORT SERIOUS HEALTH EFFECTS OF DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS] Previously, when questioned about a another threat to health freedom at a constituent breakfast, Durbin sponsored SB722, Durbin claimed that "someone else wrote the bill and has since left my sfaff" and he denied specific knowledge of the bill's contents. if this bill was passed, supplements were withdrawn from sale, and people finally realised the implications and more started getting vocal and angry about it, what would have to be done to reverse the legislation? is that a possibility?

my thinking is that maybe this issue will become more hot and publicised when people realise what they will be deprived of.

Hi Walt,

I wonder if there's any connection [monetary] between Durbin and the pharmacias?

In my more naive days I would have thought a gesture like this would make an impact. But not on the kind of people who would vote for CAFTA in the first place, I know that now...too bad.

It's all part of a global scheme moving rapidly towards a one world government, The New World Order. We think this cannot happen in America but it is happening Right Under Our Noses!

I watched a very interesting show on the History Channel called "Secret Societies". For anyone who even remotely takes the vitamin attack seriously I would suggest you get a copy of this program AND a copy of the radio program that John Hammel that aired about 1-2 weeks ago on Coast To Coast Radio. They both dovetail each other and it scared the *&%$^ our of me!!

IF WE DON'T STOP THIS WE CAN KISS OUR WAY OF LIFE GOODBYE.

WELCOME TO BEING CONTROLLED BY A "WORLD TOTALITARIAN-BASED GOVERNMENT.

More comments on my reply to UK Chris about vitamins in England being severely restriced starting August 1, 2005!

Hi Mary, yes, I hear you and it is quite scary indeed. I also just read your post to chris.

Did see The News Hour tonight with Jim Lehr? The 2nd to last item discussed was CAFTA. The beady-eyed pro-CAFTA member did exactly what you described, he tried to calm down the audience after the anti-CAFTA representative told them a little of what was really happening. But while she spoke his beady eyes couldn't stop moving back and forth, he knew it was the truth. Supplements were mentioned but not elaborated upon much at all.

I signed up for John Hammell's list today. So far I received 5 emails from him. He's beside himself. The debate and probably the vote will take place tonight in the House, and Bush and Delay have been working feverishly for a yes.

Mary, this feels like an out-of-body experience. Like it's too awful to be happening, even though it is. This is exactly how I felt when Bush was elected, BOTH times. It's exactly how I felt when I heard what was happening at the polling places, BOTH times. It's exactly how I felt when the supreme court issued their ruling.

The more these things happen, the scarier it gets.

Thanks, Chris.

Reversing legislation is ALWAYS a lot harder than stopping it in the first place. Attaching the CODEX ammendment to the CAFTA bill was a stroke of genius for the PTB!

Hi Chris,

As Walt said it is much harder to reverse it than to stop it. Legislators have a habit of blowing people off when they start complaining.

It IS possible, but even when it does happen, it takes YEARS.

HI Folks!
As you all know by now Cafta passed in the house and was quickly signed by Pres Bush. This is so unbelievable and devastating in so many ways. I read an article last night in the New American called Vote-buying and Arm-twisting, many reps voted against their conscience and states will, but felt they had to because they were bullied into it. "If you don't vote for this then you won't get other issues addressed that your state needs." Folks we have to do something we can not let this go on, this bill would put another nail in the coffin called the American Economy. Along with the vitamin issue, there would be many more jobs lost and the next step implemented toward the bigger plan. This bill was passed against "the will of the people" that's not what our goverment is for. This is an outrage! I am proposing a peaceable demonstration, camp-out, gathering in Washington over Labor day weekend, perfect timing, to show our goverment that we are against this bill and we want it stopped. I need your help getting the word out, we need every man woman and child. A lot of people dont' even know what's going on. We need to educate, empower and move into action. If you care you will be there. For our country..This is serious..God Bless Carol

Hi It'stime:

If you organize a protest, please be sure to let the board know. Some of the members here would have no problem gathering support for the cause. Peace.

P.S. Corruption is incapable of keeping itself in check. It's up to those with a conscience to stop it.

Hi Time2,

I totally agree with what you've said. There is so much more than the CAFTA issue at stake. It's about how corrupt our present administration is, how questionable their tactics are, and our strength and determination to fight it. Bush was up late the night before bill passed in the House making calls, hmmmmmm.

Anyway, yes, besides supplements, more jobs are at stake. I think they specifically mentioned the sugar and furniture industries, this is the last thing we need.

I think a peace demonstration is a great idea!!! If I lived near enough I would attend. Meantime, I wish you luck in making it happen. Let us know how it goes.
