Coffee enemas, the story continues -- Insomnia!

Posted by KMD on September 09, 2000 at 10:18:34:

OK, I tried the whole procedure again last night. (See my very recent post about my first coffee enema). This time, I made up 1 liter of coffee instead of 1 1/2 liters, and I did it in 2 parts, using half of the fluid each time. I was able to retain the first batch for the full 15 minutes but this was extremely difficult. The second batch I could only retain for 11 minutes.

I do not feel remarkably wonderful as others have reported, although I think I have duplicated that "after the stomach flu" feeling I was talking about in an earlier post. I have had some significant insomnia side-effects both nights after doing the procedure. In other words, I haven't slept a wink for 36 hours. This HAS to be a major caffeine effect, because I can always sleep and usually do so within 5 minutes of hitting the pillow. I tend to "need" 9-10 hours a night in order to feel refreshed.

I WILL tell you that I do not feel tired, even after no sleep for 2 nights. So I guess that scores one point for energy effect. But is it the caffeine? I thought the caffeine was not supposed to get absorbed. Maybe I have LCS (leaky colon syndrome).

I cannot see myself wanting to do this procedure more than once a week, and probably more like once a month. I want the health benefits but I think it is very time consuming, and extremely uncomfortable, if not downright miserable while you are doing it.

Any replies are welcome. Hey Warren, give it a try and report back! I need a good laugh too. :o)
