Dr. Stoll,
What is the truth behind relapsing from the flu or a cold? What are the real risks of a relapse if one physically exerts themselves right after being sick. How long should one wait before excercising again?
Oh, and is there any truth to "sweating out" a cold?
Thanks,
Jeff

Hi, Jeff C.
When there is no longer any fever, and one feels like it, exercise is good for recuperation.
The "sweating out" remedy works better if one forces fluids during the "cold".
Of courses, many, cold diagnoses (especially those when there is no fever) are really allergies and not viral infections at all.
