fiber formula by Garden of Life Super or another one called FiberSMART (which is part of a cleansing program, along with CleanseSMART and OilSMART). I did a search on this site and found no mention of either of these products. I'd like to try something without psyllium, in case it's contributing to constipation. Any suggestions for a good product?

Have you tried apple pectin?

No, I haven't tried apple pectin. Is it available separately, or just in fiber mixtures? Isn't apple pectin primarily soluble, though? I'm thinking maybe I need less soluble fiber and more insoluble.
BTW, I do often eat an apple or two a day, which helps a little. But, at this time of year organic apples are hard to find, and the ones I can get are 9-10 months old, having spent the winter in storage. I prefer fresher fruit that's in season, and more variety.

If I were going to take a fiber supplement, Superseed would be it. This isn't just fiber but whole-food complexes that are easy to digest and assimilate. It has all the benefits of real food as opposed to psyllium or pectin which are just fibers. This product is listed at www.gardenoflife.cc and is not widely available yet. I have only just learned of it. Jordan Rubin sent me an email recently about it. He is the founder of the company.

Thanks, and welcome back!! Hope your honeymoon and first days of married life were all you'd dreamed of, and more!
I read about Super Seed on the transformyourhealth website this morning when I ordered my Primal Defense, and the whole food thing is what I liked about it. I was wondering if it would be too much to take all the seeds and whole grains at once, since it seemed to have so many ingredients. It almost sounded too good to be true but I do know the Garden of Life products are excellent.
Thanks for the info.

Yeah you can get apple pectin as well as citrus pectin seperately and not as part of a fiber mixture. I've seen both advertised. The one apple pectin supplement I can remember offhand was made by KAL and relatively cheap if I remember right. I've never used it personally and have no idea if its soluable or insoluable. I remember seeing it advertised on a website and thought I'd throw it out as a suggestion :-)

I don't think that would be too much. Proceed slowly and see how things go.
The honeymoon was great. Thanks!
