Questions about Constipation Protocol - Fiber & MO

Posted by

I am being treated for a chronic parasite infection (Blastocystic Hominis,
Giardia), and severe constipation is one of my symptoms. I came across the
protocol here and have a few questions:

1) Fiber: psyllium and methyl cellulose (Metamucil and Citrucell) actually
seem to have the opposite effect (even when drinking tons of water), and they
cause a lot of gas/bloating. What other fiber supplements have worked for
people out there?

2) MO: I tried taking the straight mineral oil and almost gagged both times.
Is there something more palatable that will work effectively? What about
stool softeners such as Ducolax? Are they laxatives, or are they safe to take
long term?

Thanks
BDB

Hi BdB,

What are you eating most of the time?

Are you overweight?
How is your thyroid?

Diet - no wheat, sugar, dairy, soy, beans/legumes
Male, 6'3 165 (underweight 15 pounds)
Thyroid has been checked, is normal.

From everything I've read here, I believe I'm dealing with a hypotonic colon.
I've been using a concentrated aloe supplement to move my bowels for about
18 months now. That has stopped working, or I have to take so much of it it
causes severe cramping.

I'm interested in finding a long-term solution. I am getting treated for
parasites. Have had extensive, advanced testing (through Immunidiagnostics
in LA and others) that was negative across the board for candida and LGS.

I meditate and do SR regularly. Drink lots of water. Get plenty of exercise.

Hi! Dulcolax is more than a stool softener. I would only use it in extreme emergencies. I took it for a while a long time ago and it can give you incredible cramping, plus it's a chemical and you'll become dependent on it. It can also burn the hell out of your guts.

Have you tried any combined herbal preparations? Also, there are stool softeners. Have you tried flax seed or flax seed oil?

HI BdB,

I'll bet that your two favourite foods are bread and pizza.

Psyllium is so finely ground that it can easily mix with bread and form a rock. When you do get the urge to go, do you often put it off until a more convenient time?

You would be better off getting on fruits, vegetables beans, seeds and nuts... while avoiding most of the white flour
which is turning into hockey pucks.

Ultimate Cleanse did wonders for me and it's heral formula also detotex the body. Try it, it's the only thing that worked for me and it is very gentle at the dsame time. Look it up on the web.

Hi, BDB.

There is a formula for MO palatability in the archives.

So far as the fiber is concerned, ask your pharmacist for suggestions and listen to your body.

LGS is your long term problem so you need to be learning about that.

Walt - I have been tested for LGS multiple times and the test has always come
up negative. Are the tests inaccurate?

As I mentioned, my diet is very good. NO bread, no pizza - ever.

I don't want to use anything with a laxative effect - this would rule out any
"cleanse" products. I want to regain my colon't normal function.

Can someone point me to the post in the archives that describes MO
palatability? I couldn't find it when I was researching last night.

I am trying a fiber product with flax and borage seed fiber, acidophilus, and
some herbs like marshmallow root and slippery elm bark.

I have an herbal stool softener with docusate sodium in it. Is that a laxative?

Thanks,
BDB

Are there any ways to make MO more palatable without adding something to
it with sugar in it? I don't eat sugar.

Thanks, BDB.

Anything with "lax" in it's name is a laxative and some that don't!

Here is the MO protocol again: Keep the MO in the freezer. Keep some orange juice in the freezer in an ice cube tray. When you are ready, put the dose of MO in a blender, drop in the orange juice cube and a teaspoon of baking soda, Flash and chug.

I think docusate sodium in not a laxative. I could be wrong.

Walt

Let us know how you do.

Hi BdB,

When I was a kid, mixing MO with orange juice seemed to work.

I am sure that adding a little vodka to that would make a good bar drink for you at this time of year...

Ho Ho Ho :)
