I want a product that works exactly like this:
It breaks hardened stool down into smaller particles
like a pulverizing a small stone.Adds fluid to it
My stool tends t get "hyper-evaporated";by the time it reaches the end of my large intestine, it is rock hard and stuck to the walls.
I'm drinking more water.I tried the mineral oil and Metamucil method and it didn't help me much.
Does this sound like I want an enzyme? I think I do but to my knowledge enzymes can only digest food in the stomach.
-Colase smoothens the texture of stool, like adding water to dry clay, but don't really break it up.
- I have tried laxatives and stimulants, but Idon't feel my problem is that my tract isn't moving.I think it works fine but there is just a problem near the end of it.
Can someone recommend a product dissolves hard blocks of stool, even a prescription med. I plan to use this product only as a very temporary fix, just so I can get my mind on writing down the symptoms I'd like Dr. Stoll to address.
-Is there any disorder in which too much water is removed from the stool?

Have you tried Cascara Sagrada (stimulant) or an ayurvedic herbal blend called Triphala (stool softener)?

Rebekah,
You did not do the mineral oil and metamucil as directed. It is impossible for it not to work since neither is absorbed. Its action is just mechanical and, when you take "enough" for YOU, it HAS to work. Drinking a lot of water, while doing the above, will help it work quicker.
