I think my last message got buried, and am not sure you saw it so I'll recap here. Tracey got tested yesterday with applied kinesiology for food sensitivities. She was found to be sensitive to dairy products and corn syrup, but fortunately not wheat. The practicioner agreed that there is a possiblity of leaky gut syndrome and recommended a stool test. After getting the kit I can see that will be impossible to do!
We are giving her 3 teaspoons of metamucil, 1 TBL of Kondremul and 14 billion micro-organisms of acidopholus per day (which I will increase next week), and for the last 5 days she's been having one bowel movement per day (are you sure that's not enough?!)
My questions are, 1) Do we really have to do a stool test, or can we assume that she does have LGS and treat her for it in an herbal, safe way?
2) Do you think the dairy sensitivity could be a reason for her encopresis and eliminating all dairy (as we are doing now) will solve the problem? Could just a tiny amount of dairy in sensitive individuals cause constipation?
3) Do you think the above treatment with the Kondremul and psyllium is adequate? Is a whole TBL of Kondremul per day really necessary?
4) Now that she has been found not sensitive to wheat (she repeatedly tested her to be sure) do you think we should cut down on it anyway?
5) Do you have any other thoughts? I thought you'd like to know how very accurate you were and especially how much you have helped us.
Thank you again and I'm looking forward to your response.
