Costo

Hi. I am have some very annoying pain on my right rib cage. It is fairly persistant, although does tend to come and go. I visited the doctor out of fears of liver problems, namely hepatitis. All tests came back negative so the liver appears to be normal.

I remember the pain developing during an unusually stressful time of work. After reading some of the articles on your site tonight, I am thinking it may be Costo. The pain shifts from rib to rib with the main one being right in the middle. Tonight is has appeared directly to the right of the sternum.

No other symptoms are apparent. No fatigue, constipation, jaundice, etc. Swelling is fairly minimal although tonight it is a little more apparent (I was mtn biking today).

Sounds a little like Costo, but what else can I look for and how the hell do I get rid of the pain??????

Mark.

Its very simple. Its called Skilled relaxation. Go to the Symtoms and disease/Wellness quick reference guide and click on SR/Skilled Relaxation. Scroll down and click on SR. It gives you a good description. This is a long term solution.

Hi, ms.

Congratulations. You have already cleared the first hurdle: beginning to believe the diagnosis.

Start with the glossary and then pass on to the archives about costochondritis and about bracing.

Listen to both ph & Kim.

Let us know what you learn and how you do. As you get well, you can help others avoid going through what you have.

THIS IS A TOTALLY UNNECESSARY CONDITION!

Walt
