I was told by my doctor that I have costochondritis which is very painful but no one has ever told me that the pain travels from one side to another. After being told about having this I was sent to a cancer doctor as they also did other tests on me and found that I might have bone cancer. Which I am going through all the tests for that now. I just wanted to know if anyone has the pain going from one side to the other and I have been having this pain for almost 3 months now. Does this pain last this long for any of you all. All your help would be nice. Thank you, Karen

Iv had costochondritis for almost 4 yrs. SR, Yoga etc hasnt helped at all, I gave up on it. Just have to wait for the cartilage to heal, how long that will take I dont know, I just am very careful with movement.

Hi, Terrie.
IF your diagnosis is correct, you HAVE to know that, like ALL forms of SR, you would have to do your Yoga at least twice a day to expect any long term results.
If you choose to keep your TOTALLY unnecessary condition for life, rather than actually do your SR correctly, so be it.
Perhaps, if I make you mad enough you will be willing to try to prove me wrong.
Let us know how you are doing as you get well.

Hi, Karen.
ANYONE might have bone cancer as the cause of costochondritic type of pain. However, the chances are at LEAST 10,000 to 1 that it is not bone cancer. However, now that the possibility has been brought up it has to be disproven or proven.
Let us know what you learn.

I did Yoga and SR per instructions on this board to the letter!

Thanks, Terrie.
And what did your biofeedback readings show? Also what kind of biofeedback test did you have?

Karen - I have had this rib cage pain for about 8 months now. It started when I had a real bad cold and coughed so hard I thought I cracked some ribs. Went to Dr. and had x rays - showed no cracks. Eventually, slowly, pain went almost away only to jump to the other side of my ribs. It is mostly left side directly behind breast and on the left side in my back; however it does move around. Today, it is centered in my breastbone. Last month it was on the right side of my ribs. Just today, I think I have finally found out what is wrong with me. It has to be this costo thing. Everyones symptoms mirror mine exactly. Hope this helps.
