Hi, I have been suffering from Costocondritis for the past 5 years, and have recently discovered that I am 13 weeks pregnant. I am terrified what this condition will mean for a safe and healthy pregnancy. I was wondering whether there are any others out there who have themselves, or know someone who has been pregnant and how they coped. Thanks

Hi, Melissa.
Means nothing other than you will have a harder time learning breathing techniques for birthing classes and have a harder time pushing with delivfery.
HOWEVER, in the long run, it means that you will have trouble with things caused by stress. Having a baby and new child in the family IS a big stressor.
SO, you would be wise to use the archives to learn about stress and SR before this pregnancy is over. Right now your child is being bathed by your stress hormones and research has indicated that this is one of the causes of behavior problems in children as well as learning difficulties.
