I heard charcoal is good for detoxifying the colon. I have irritable bowel syndrome, I recently began eating more whole foods and see some slight improvement so far. Would you say to go ahead with the charcoal tablets to "mop up" some more toxins? I've heard some good things about them such as a general "cure all" to a lot of symptoms from people I know.

my name is Cindy and I also suffer from chronic hives, I have tried clariton ,benadryl, zyrtec, allegra and now I am immune to everything it works the first few times than my body just does this thing to me , it's really so hard to live with I started to get them about 4 years ago and than all of a sudden they stopped for maybe 8 months out of the years but they have been back for almost 3 years and getting worse and worse I get them every single day, I have them right now... I am so use to them but I just can't live like this anymore I can't wear certain clothes I can't sleep a certain way everything makes me break out...I never knew it could be so horrible and no one understands.... doctors, friends & family, have no answers , I was just wondering has anyone found anything that could help please let me know because I know what your all going through and no one knows what it is like accept the people who suffer with them it means only one thing misery.......
sometimes I feel like I am just never going to be ok , did you find anything that worked for you : ) Cindy

Hi Cindy, I too suffer from hives for 12 years now. The doctors also cant find the problem. I did the elemination diet and had alergy testing done. I too have been on all sorts of meds the one that seems to work the best is claritin but I am also getting immune to claritn so Im trying benedryl which doesnt seem to work as good but I noticed that claritin dries me up so bad that I get bad sinus headaches since I switched to benedryl I dont get them yet ( I will have to wait and see). Any ways go on the archives and look up hives there is a whole lot of information on there and try what they suggest it cant hurt.

Hi, LL & Cindy.
What have either of you learned from the hives archives? Neither of you made any comment about self-hypnosis which is the most effective approach in those who have been adequately tested (cellular allergy) for hypersensitivities.
