I looked through the archives, didn't see it.
The only 2 tests I know of is the 6 hour glucose tolerance and the one docs run along with a "regular" blood test, fasting. (SMA 24?-don't remember).

Mary,
The 6 hour glucose tolerance test---done with the proper 3 day preparation---is the most accurate.
The 3 day preparation includes eating at least 400 grams of carbohydrate per day for the 3 days (1600 calories of carbohydrate); & eating nothing but drinking plenty of water after the midnight before the test.
