hi,
I am trying to start up a healthy diet to help my acne.
I have heard that refined sugars can be found in fruits as well, which fruits? Also i know many people have been going on about the benefits of a low carb diet but i love bread does wholemeal bread contain refined sugars as well. I have eliminated chips and chocolate from my diet but i have a soft spot for cheese. I know goats cheese isn't too bad but is italian cheese such as feta cheese and parmesan ok as well. One more question- sorry! I have read skilled relaxation helps acne as well. Trouble is i work a lot, do you think yoga about once or twice a week is enough?
Thanks
anna

Anna,
Sugar is refined human intervention. Unless you are refering to canned fruit,
fresh fruit does not contain refined sugar.
If the wholemeal bread is from a commercial bakery (as opposed to the little
shop around the corner) then it probably contains not only wheat gluten but also
refined sugar. The problems with feta and parmesan are the same as for wholemeal
bread, which is the source. Take a look at the label to see what I mean.
Yoga is good, but it is considered "exercise" as opposed to "relaxation" which is
not the same thing at all. I don't know what your sleep cycle is like, but if you practice
SR, then your need for sleep will be reduced, and will free up time, and if nothing else,
reduce the stress from all the work you seem to be doing.
Less stress (at least in theory)
should reduce the amount of acne you suffer from.
Your best bet is to continue your yoga, make your dietary changes, and start SR.

Thanks, Gregory.
Modern fruit is SO domesticated and chemicalized that it is the same as sugar. The rare micronutrient content does not come close to providing the necessary Krebs Cycle nutrients needed to digest the sugar in the fruit.
Yoga is fine for SR if it is practiced at least 20 minutes twice a day like all of the rest of the SRs---AND if biofeedback shows that it is HER way to achieve SR.

Depending on your individual sensitivities, it might end up having to forgo breads. Especially, those containing wheat. Many people see many of their health problems go away when they exclude wheat (and sometimes, all gluten containing grains) from their diet. You may or may not have such a need. I guess the only way to see if wheat or other grains cause you any problems is to avoid them for a few weeks. And regarding your love for bread, it may simply become a matter of choice you'd have to make: give up bread (or whatever it is) or continue having health problems.
By the way, all fruits, grains, and starchy vegies cause my skin to breakout. That is not to say that you'll have to stay away from these foods too, but it's a possibility to consider.
Lightwalking,
Gregory
