I wonder how many of you have read Paul Pitchford's "Healing with Whole Foods," which is perhaps one of the most comprehensive, clear, and intelligent discussion on food and health, I think. I'd like to hear how others think about this book.

I liked "Consious Eating" by Gabriel Cousins, M.D. Way more information. Another great book is "Food Revolution" by John Robbins. Happy reading! Mary

Thanks, bing.
More and more books are coming out about this now and I, for one, am very glad to see it.
I wish they had been out there 30 years ago!
Namaste`

I like the Pitchford book. It covers a lot about Oriental healing philosophies.
My recent foray into Sally Fallon's "Nourishing Traditions" has actually enhanced the use I get from the other books. It's good to have varied references on whole foods and compare the perspectives.

Yes, Jan, different books from various perspectives do serve us better in the long run, especially after we have synthesized the raw materials into a new form that fit our individual needs. After brousing, reading, and trying out different schools of ideas on food and health, I find the Pitchford book the most flexible.
Thanks for suggesting the Fallon book--I'll locate it soon and see what she has to say.
