Hi, I have questions! I seem to have the POD under control, but it's not "going away" though maybe I'm asking too much in a short time (I've only been new to this site 2 weeks, which is when it's "behaved" due to the great advice and destressing realization)
Is it possible that it can crop up now and again (lightly) right now, until I'm really destressed and until I really get a grip on my yeast issue I think I have (sugar, breads)...
I find that cutting sugars helps amazingly! So much, that I'm working on changing my children's diets as well.
Another thing that seems to work is Garlic soft gels (garlic oil) -
Does this make sense?
Is it possible that I can expect little breakouts - very little and minor - most people can't really notice unless I point it out, but I feel the itching "deep" in my skin. I'm really working at destressing, and cleaning my gross system from years of nutrition abuse. I'm afraid to do the liver flush - it sounds really taxing and scary. but it also sounds like it really "moves things around".
Anyway, I guess I'm hoping that someone who has had POD or experience in speaking to others, can tell me if it can take a slow amount of time to go away... as I change my lifetstyle. I don't know if I mentioned it, but it cropped up after I had a year of really healthy eating, then a couple months of NOT healthy eating. (very poor one month) - and BOOM. The holistic/natural pharmacy I go to said that it seems like I shocked my body, and from being away from sugars to an extent for so long, it made me more sensitive. Does this sound correct? I need help here!
Also - about the SR - I meant that anything positive can be relaxing and destressing - didn't mean it to come across offensive (in another post)

Hi, Michele.
Remember that LGS is behind nearly every case of POD.
It is true that, if you have been totally away from refined carbohydrates for a few weeks that you can become exquisitely sensitive to them. This effect is normally gone after 6-12 months of total elimination. If your "really healthy" eating had been perfect you would not have had a relapse when you were "bad" at least not at once. Anyone can finally get in the shapw where they were in the beginning--if they are bad enough long enough. After all, that is how you got there in the beginning.
The longer one is perfect the longer they can misbehave before a recurrance. It is kind of like depositing money in the bank.
If you do not have Beth Loiselle, RD's book, that would help you finally do the permanent thing.

Dr. Stoll,
I actually was, 95% away from the refined stuff for almost a year..then, let me tell you - girl scout cookie time came and I ATE! (stress eating, which is unlike me) and that is when literally, all hell, or, POD, broke out!
I am going today to a holistic healer! She is GREAT! I've heard great things about her, she spoke to me a few times on the phone, and she supports the things you've told me. In fact, before I said a thing, she said, "Is the rash just below the corner of each side of your mouth? If so, it's colon trouble" WOW! Anyway, she's meeting with me today, at her home...we are trading services, and spoke of working together (before this face-rot) as I'll do Pilates/Yoga, Weight Loss counseling/Motivation counseling, and she'll do her thing - as a team. I'm helping her with muscle tone today.... It's great - as this site is, to have a collaboration. I enjoy giving my input and hope I help others as they have helped me. :)
Is Beths book the Skilled Relaxation one? I just recieved that one - it is good. I recommend it to anyone who needs to deeeestreessssssssss.

Thanks, Michele.
Sounds like you are in good hands.
Beth's book is the WFD one and the Sr Workbook is the SR one.
