Eliimination diet, candida etc.for Dr. Walt

Dr. Stoll, I have read and re read regarding Elim diet and Candida. I am severly bloated, thumbnail fungus, vaginal irritation after eating fruit, which I love. Extremely active eat no coffee, white flour ,sugar,grains Mostly Vegies and some occasional poultry or eggs. Type A+. confused, do I have the fruit and yams and sweet potato on The E diet even though questionable with regard to Candida? I am concerned about overeating on E Diet. The extreme bloat and overweight doesn't seem justified in light of what I eat and my activity level. 45 years old. My fingers swell and too much animal product and I swell. what do you think? I am in the first 24 hours of E diet. Janice

Hi, Janice.

You really need to decide exactly what you want any dietary approach to do. For the candida you need Beth Loiselle, RD's book BEFORE you start it. For allergies or hypersensitivities, you need to do the selective elimination/provocation diet. For things like arthritis, you need to do what Robert MCFerran is talking about, etc.

You can't do it all at once.
