Every once in awhile, I tend to get sweaty palms and the bottom of my feet also tend to sweat alot if I wear sandals or flip flops. Anyways could this be a sign of a hormonal imbalance or any other type of imbalance that could be contributing to my acne?

Hi Chris, both excessive sweating and acne are signs of too much stored stress-effect in the hypothalamus. Acne is a sign of hormonal imbalance which again, is caused by the stress-effect. Have you discovered SR?

kmd, thanks for your response. I have heard alot about SR on this board. However I personally dont feel that I am under alot of stress, im really a pretty laid back guy and I dont let to many things bother me. But who knows, I guess I do stress about school sometimes which maybye could be a factor. If your could explain to me the steps involved in SR that would be great. Thanks

Hi Chris! "Stress" is a broad term and society does tend to think of it only in terms of feeling "stressed out", or having stressful jobs, traffic, etc. That is only 10% of the equation. 90% of our stress is environmental! We are ALL affected.

Hello! Here's a great article Walt wrote about SR. After reading it, please learn more by going to the Archives for Skilled Relaxation (the link to the archives is at the top right of the main BB, also when you post a new message the links are all there).
Write again with any q's.

Chris,
You need a lot better understandigng of what your hypothalamus considers "stress". Read the article on the homepage about "Modern Medical Interpretation of Stress."
Let us know what you learn.
