Dear Dr. Walts
I was very healthy person with lots of energy with age of 40 years. My physical activities included are trecking, every day one hour yoga since 20 years, running 20 miles a week, always eating whole grain food, organic vegetables, raw fruits. No alcohal, no sugars, no smoking etc,.
But 8 months ago I had one time sexual encounter (including deep kissing) with a 25 years old woman with whom I met through internet. After wards I developed gradually chronic symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, muscle sore, not feeling freshness, burning of tounge, redness of tounge, bumps and lesions on the tounge, eyes burning, redness of eyes frequently, sinusitis, muscle pain and joint pains etc. Later she told me that she is having same symptoms since two years and she does not know the cause. So it is pretty clear that I got it from her and she accepts it. Her doctors do not know either what she has.
I ran to a dozen diffrent doctorts incuding 4 infectious specialists , two allergy specialists one candida specialist and immunologist,. They performed several tests all of them are normal. HIV-0,1,2; HSV 1, 11, HTLV - 1 and2, hepatitis B, and C , Gonohrrhea, chlamydia, syphilis are normal. performed several times of WBC with diffrential. and normal.
but in the begining of the exposure I had slightly elevated ALT, bilurubin, protein , and CPK. They all are normal now.
One candida specialist put me under 3 months of yeast eradication program and told me that I may got some severe mycoplasma infection so candida took opprtunity. Any way I took continued 6 months of Candida eradication. But not much cure. Probably candida is gone but my symptoms are not gons.
The Mycoplasma specific PCR tests of blood for diiferent species came negative. But general mycoplasma PCR test fron one lab came posuitive and other lab came negative. Antibody tests of Mycoplasma came negative.
My EBV test results are: EBV VCA IGM: Negative (.54 titer), EBV VCA IGG: Poitive: (1.39) and EBNA IGG: Positive (5.5).
1.0 or highr is considered as positive.
So in my case test result reads as past infection. The test was done after 4 months from the exposure. The girls's EBV test also indicates she has past infection only. All the doctors told me that this was a past infection and not bothering anymore since EBNA is positive. But recently one infectious specialist says that my problem is chronic EBV and the girm whom i exposed is also suffering from chronic EBV. when I contacted other doctors they disagreed with him and says that my symptoms are not due to EBV.
Abnormal recent tets resullts are: natural killer celles are below normal level also elevated IGG subclass 3. CD4 count is pretty normal.
what could be my problem? what infection I got from that girl? Why her doctors can not find any thing in her when she has symptoms?
Do you think I am suffering with chronic EBV?
If not can you suggest anything? Nothing is there for me to change diet habits because I always has good eating health habits.

You may want to have Viracor test for HHV-6, CMV, and do their EBV test to see if you have an active infection to any of these. Repeat the test for mycoplasma PCR as well.Mycoplasma antibodies is a worthless test. Even though these are the so-called "gold-standard" tests, they are are not 100% conclusive. Viruses are ususally self-limiting in healthy individuals which it sounds like you are unless you haven't told us something from your past that could be causing immunusuppression that has made it easier for an opportunistic pathogen to gain a foothold or a dormant one (90% of the gen pop has IgG antibodies to EBV, HSV, which usually only indicates PAST exposure) which has re-activated. Usually, however, you have to have the right stage set (immuno-compromised from HIV, mercury, chemical exposure, etc.) for this to happen. Most everyone will have intimate contact with another person in their lives (hopefully!) and I would think that it is only in those, whose immune systmes have ALREADY been suppressed, that the opportunistic bad guys will infect a person and become life-threatening or dormant ones will reactivate.
Again - the ultimate key is to BALANCE and RESTORE your Th1 cell-mediated immunity (T-cells - NK cells, CD4s, CD8s) using natural protocols!

I never had anything in the past that can supress my immunity. I was 100 percent very healthy person with 20 years of everyday one hour yoga, 20 miles running a week, and eating very healthy food. I developed these symptoms within 15 days to 2 months period from the exposure to that girl. First it started as tingling, weakness, jointpains, musclepains, and later swelling of right parotid gland for few sdays, bumps on the tounge, etc, All these symptoms gradually dveopled in a six weeks period from my sexual 1. exposure to that woman. I also got urinary track yeast infection which was treated with one week of diflucan, and sporonaax. I later learned that the girl I exposed has all the symptoms going with her since past two years. Her doctors has no clue what she has. They diagnosised her having yeast vaginitis and bacterial vaginitis.
My current symptoms are: fatigue, muscle sores, lesions on the tounge, bumps on the tounge, sinusitis which is developed from the exposure, eyes burning, redness of eyes, headaches, etc,
The following tests:
Mycoplasma Tests:
1. Mycoplasma general PCR test: Positive
but M. genitalium, M. hominis, M. Orale, M. fermantans. M. sallivarium, M. pneumonaiand M. genitalium are negative from Immuno sciences lab, CA
2. M. genitalium, M. hominis, M. Orale, M. fermantans. M. sallivarium, M. pneumonai and M. genitalium are negative from International Moleculer diagnostic Lab, CA.
3. mycoplasma screening test by PCR: Negative from Moleculor Diagnostic Lab, NJ.
4. Mycoplasma Genus test by PCR: Negative the lab is in England.
5. urea plasma PCR test negative from all the labs
6. chlamydya PCR blood test from all the labs are negative.
Above all are blood Pcr tests.
7. HHV-6, HHV-7, EBV, CMV. HHV-8, parovirus, reterovirus, coxsackie virus, adeno virus PCR of blood test are negative.
But urethral swab PCR test for Ureaplasma came as positive.
However according to the doctors it indicates urinary track infection of Ureaplasma but not my all of above symptoms.
So from above test results indicate Mycoplasma is negative but from one lab it came as positive. however the doctors interpreted as false positive since from all other labs are negative. Even if it is positive they think it is must be non pathogenic since all known pathogenes are negative. M. antibodies are also negative. But on edoctor that is Dr. Mirkins told me go and take two months of Minocyclene 200 mg a day along with 500 mg of azithromycin a week. He thinks it might work since nothing has been conclusive.
Q1) Do you think I should go and take this medecene? Do you think My problem is related to Mycoplasma still?
My EBV test WHICH WAS DONE 4 MONTHS AFTER EXPOSRE results are: EBV VCA IGM: Negative (.54 titer), EBV VCA IGG: Poitive: (1.39) and EBNA IGG: Positive (5.5). ALL THE DOCTORS TOLD ME THAT THIS IS NOT THE ISSUE OF MY CURRENT PROBLEM. They say that it is probably childhood infection and not causing any problem. But One infectious specialist thinks I acuired this EBV virus from that girl and says my symptoms are related to chronic EBV. All he says that it says as past infection because test was not done until fourmonths from the exposure but still I am suffering with that virus. And also he says that the girl is suffering since two years with the same proble. But another doctor says that this infectious specialist is stupid and told me that EBV can not cause problem if ENA is positive. He says positive EBNA indicates cure so my problem is not EBV but some other infection and suggests to take MInocyclen.
Q2) Please tell your opinion who is right? Does really positive EBNA indicates cure of EBV problem?
Do you think if i am suffering from EBV?
Natural killer cell function indicates that below normal range and also IGG subclass 3 slightly elevated: So one doctor (immunologist)thinks there is some infection but do not know what.
Q3) please tell which infection can cause really this to happen and also sinusitis, and all my symptoms?
other tests which are normal now: WBC with differential, thyroid, Lupus, ANA, Melotinin, Testestorene, sedementation rate, hepatic function, all are normal, and also HIV, HTLV, HERPES 1 and 2, syphilis, chlamydia and gonorreahea all are normal. Also CMV antibody test of both IGM and IGG are negative. I appreciate your answeres. thatnk you.

Venakt,
Since simple wellness cannot possibly hurt you why not do it while you are doing all these expensive and pretty useless tests? You will still be doing them in a year when your results from the wellness will begin to be obvious even to you. EVEN if some doc comes up with a name for what you have I will bet my reputation that their recommendations will be that whatever it is is incurable and that you will just have to live with it. Is having a name worth all this crap?
Your description of yourself as a perfectly healthy person says, to me, that you should offer yourself up to the profession for study. Maslow looked for 10 years, at the turn of the last century, and never found even one perfectly healthy person.
You must be a medical marvel.
I am perfectly aware that, by this time you are pretty frustrated with me. I do not have to care what you think of me; only to tell the truth as my 40 years of experience has given me to understand.

I mean i was normal and did not have any health problems previously. After I exposed to this woman I got serious illness which is probably an infection or multiple infections. Just I want to get cured and become normal and my doctors do not know what I got/ I am wondering if you can possibly think what infection I have? Mycoplasma/EBV/ Or some thing else?

Hi, Venkat.
Since your docs are having such a hard time with the diagnosis, the odds are great that, even when they finally decide they will just say, live with it.
SO, just resolve it all by practicing serious wellness.
