Epstein Bar

My daughter was diagnosed when she was 19. She is now 27 and has pea sized lumps in groin, armpits, stomache and one in center of her chest. Her gyno told her not to worry about them. I am very worried. She is so tired. I was told that this "virus" would last 3-4 yrs and she would get better. I have not read the book yet but will make sure that she has a copy. She does not look good..thin and pale.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I understand your concern. A year into a chronic case of mono I too discovered a strange small cyst that I was also told not to worry about. I really wonder what the lumps mean, why they form, and whether they are really so benign.

Anyone have ideas? I'm now 25 years old, diagnosed with "mono" 3 1/2 years ago.

I am very curious what steps your daughter has taken to help heal herself, because although my case sounds less severe than hers, I was tired for a year, a little "off," maybe, for another year, and still experience a few symptoms of weakened immunity like too many colds last winter. So I know how debilitating this can be. Although I have been feeling great for a couple years, honestly bursting with energy, I know that this vitality is still slightly "surface level" if I am still prone to frequent colds in the winter (about 4 last winter). Hi, Tami.

First, both you, TL and your daughter need to educate yourselves about chronic viral infections & EBV in particular (see the archives).

The nodes you are feeling are scarring of the nodes that happened with the original infestation and will not disappear. "Fogeddaboudit".

Serious wellness is the only thing yet known that will get rid of the symptoms permanently.

Let us know what you learn and how she does.

Walt
