Epstein-Barr

I am an endurance cyclist who spends about 10 - 12 hours per week on the bike. After a very stressfull spring and a very difficult training period, I woke up one morning exhausted, could not concentrate, no short term memory, heart pounding, insomnia, RHR up about 10 beats.

I went to a number of doctors who tried everything from inhalers to antibiotics. Finally I saw a Southern California sports doctor who ran a complete blood panel and based on the results, (EBV VCA AB ICG @ 150 and EBV VCA AB IGM @7 all other tests normal to excellant), indicated I had a serius past infection, (w/in the past 6 weeks) but that I am well on the road to recovery and should start riding again at approx 20 beats below my AT.

Does this sound correct? What else can I do?

I have read a number of posts and alot of them refer to your "Book".

What book are they refering to?

Hi, Mark.

It is impossible for me to tell from here.

If your recovery follows the predictions, I would not worry about it. If not, seeing a holistic consultant (holistic practitioners archive) would be what I would do.

What have you learned from the EBV archives?

Descriptions of my book are in the archives and links are found on many of the pages of the 'site.

Let us know what you learn.

Walt

Thanks, Mark.

Although the book I wrote (see the links on many pages of the 'site) is designed to give the reader a different viewpoint, it does not specifically discuss EBV at any length. It would, however, give you a mind set that is necesary to learn what your options are and to put it in perspective.

There are undoubtedly books that are entirely about EBV but, in my opinion, this problem is so simple to resolve that anyone who can fill up an entire book with it has now, yet seen the forest fot the trees.

Hope this helps. Let us know what you learn.

Walt
