I have been searching this site for some time now, and I can't seem to find the symptoms of EBV. I am sure it is here somewhere... so please be patient with me and help me with a list of symptoms.
Bessings,
Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth,

Sorry I can't help you directly.

Sometimes those types of details don't actually get discussed on this bulletin board. In the archives you might find posts where people list and discuss their own symptoms, but it might not include the full range that others might experience. I'm sure there are other websites out there that have more complete information on signs and symptoms. Try searching on Google for that, then come back here to find how to treat it!

BTW, it's spelled 'Epstein'. That might help your search efforts :)

Wishing you the best,
Nutmeg

Hi, Elizabeth.

They are probably not mentioned because they can fill a book. This "diagnosis" is meaningless anyhow. See the archives if you want to know what to do about the symptoms.

Let us know what you learn.

Dr. Stoll, do you mean it's a meaningless diagnosis because its presence in a blood panel doesn't mean it's active in the body? It came up in a recent blood test for me, as well as CMV, during a time when I was feeling pretty bad. However, though the docs attributed my symptoms to these viruses, I thought that a large percentage of people have both of these viruses and remain asymptomatic for most of their lives.

What I can't figure out is, why did this show up only now, and never before in previous blood work? I had mono in college, and I'm 49 now. Don't know about the CMV.

Re: Epstein-Barr Virus (Archive.) Why this is a meaningless diagnosis.

Hi, Moogie.

I say it is "meaningless" because it has little or nothing to do with any symptoms and the conventional paradigm has no suggested treatment for it anyhow.

The only practical approach is to practice serious wellness and see how much it helps. I have yet to see one person doing this that was not symptom free a year later.

Their EBV titers will still be there but the symptoms will be gone. Meaning???

Walt

I was told when I wsa 23, back in 1987-88 after having blood test done that after complaining of being exausted all of the time I had EBV. I was told that their was nothing to take for it.Actually there was nothing more mentioned about. Of course I don't feel any beter today at 38. Does this go away, go in remission, or what. Can someone help me?

Hi, Robyn.

What have you learned from the archives? Serious wellness invariably resolves the symptoms ascribed to EBV. 6 months may seem a long time but you have had this for 15 years already.

When this is resolved in 6-12 months you are going to be angry that you were not told this 15 years ago. Thank the allopathic monopoly. This was widely known even then.

The EBV Virus has killed, the sooner doctors out there quit thinking your just tired with cronic fatige, the faster we sufferier's will get help! This is a real illness, just like cancer.... you will always live with it.

YOU WILL GET THROUGH IT! HANG IN THERE!

You are sick, there is something wrong with you, Do not let anyone make you think your crazy!

I was diagnosed with EBV January 2001. I spent 2 years thinking I was going crazy. I was in pain 24 hour a day and could not sleep. I spent 2 full years on anti-botics, in and out of the hospital. I never thought I would get well! DO NOT GIVE UP!

I have been back to work now for four months (only temping) you need to get your life back slowly.

FIND A GOOD DOCTOR! That is the key to getting better! Call around and ask these doctors what they know about our illness... do not stop until someone will give you what you need to get well... then start the healing process... anti-depresent, sleeping pills, pain killer (I was on Vicoden & Soma), anti-botics...I also walked with a cane (this took alont of presure off my muscles)

I think the key to these drugs are as follows:

Sleeping Pills: your body can not heal unless you are rested

Anti-Depresents: you probally have been going crazy thinking whats wrong with you.. BALANCE Those cemicals in your brain.

Pain pills: once your body is reseted and your mind is clear, you need to start execersing.. You cannot do that in pain.. start slowley...

Antibiotics: Keep them in you ... if you start getting something, do not shy away from them.

*** The only thing I would not take if I were you is neaurten... bad stuff does not work and piles weight on you.

GOOD LUCK.. I HOPE THIS HELPS
