Dr. Stoll,

I appreciate what I have learned from your site, (regarding EBV and Chronic Fatigue) and have put much of your advice into practice. However, I am curious to learn your thougts on the Incline Village epidemic which occured in the mid '80's. Wouldn't such an event point to a communicable virus/disease? (I understand the EBV is easily passed from one to another, but how could such a large number of people be "ripe" for a chronic condition?) Based upon my understanding of your aproach to EBV and CFS, a clustering (such as the Incline Village Epidemic) would not make sense. Moreover, I am troubled by the abnormal MRI's in the Incline Village patients.

Hi, Michael.

Did 100% of the exposed villagers get sick? If not, what was different about those that did not? Think about it.

These "theories" of mine are not theories. They have been well known & accepted by conventional medicine for more than 100 years. It is just that they have not been drummed into the public consciousness like treatment has been since there is no money in prevention---only in treatment.

Walt
