Hi Walt. Some time ago I received a high dose of electricity in my body. I did have a headache afterwards along with other symptoms. Also I remember saying to myself within 2 days after the accident that "I feel like I have mono again" (Had mono when I was 18) Anyway, as time went on I became very ill and infact do have high levels of EBV in my system. I also as a result have some brain damage from this shock. Before this I was relatively healthy. I do take part in the 3Leg program and thank you for I do feel better. My question is can head trauma i.e. concussion or brain damage, re activate an old virus like EBV into your system? Or is it more likely the fact that I got ill from the shock weakened me to a point where this virus was allowed to do it's dirty buisness? Let me know what you think and bless you and all associated with this site for your caring!

Hi Larry,
I certainly can't answer your question directly, but here's a related answer. Consider reading the brain chemistry archives, and some books on improving brain chemistry. There may be some supplements you can take to improve your brain function -- do a search in Amazon and your library catalog for "orthomolecular nutrition" or "orthomolecular medicine". Some vitamins and minerals may be of great help. Also, think about using some herbs that enhance brain function, like gingko, etc. I just started using phosphatidylserine and rhodiola rosea and I can feel a big improvement in my brain function AND fatigue levels.
I never had an injury like yours but years of intense chronic stress and poor nutrition caused my problems.
Best wishes,
Happygal

Hi, Larry.
Listen to HappyGal.
This sudden "shock" reset your hypothalamus at a lower level of function---just as many years of chronic stress-effect can do for other people.
The surest way to reset to your formerly healthy level would be to practice serious wellness for a year or two. Before you stop doing that, let us know how you have done.
