NO, but the same susceptibility (due to the low immune reserves we discuss regularly on this BB) can cause both.
With the "new disease of the month" many people are coming up with a number of "diagnoses" ALL of which are caused by the same basic mechanism.
However, we MDs make our living putting names on things and then finding a treatment for the symptoms of that "diagnosis".
People have to stop being enamored with the names and do something about the causes so EVERYTHING will clear up at the same time.
