I was diagnosed with epstien-barr in august 1998. I had a fever of 103-105 for about 2 weeks. My doctor did blood tests and said that my liver was efected also. Iwas so fatigued that it hurt just to lift my arms up. Now 5 months later my liver seemed to heal itself, but i still feel very weak and tired most of the time. I also need to lose some wieght i'm 5'6" tall and wiegh about 205lbs., but when i try to work out i can't last very long. Can you recomend a diet and work out that i could do so i can get back into some kind of shape again. and as for as relaxation i'm not to good at that eather. I work in a high stress job as a corrections officer at a state prison. Thank you for your time....Fred Siena

I have had it about as long if not longer. It wipes you out. Buy Dr Stolls book and try the whole foods diet. It works. I feel the same about working out it is hard. I am into lifting and riding bikes. It is tough!

Take Ester C, It is a special vitamin C, take as much as you can tollerate, could be up to 200grams in a day then take 75% of that number daily, have been doing this for 2 months it works !!!! and I am gettign close to getting over it with the whole foods diet and C. Get the powered kind cheaper. When you workout keep it easy and light if you feel or get fatigued skip the workout. Or if you are fatigued that day skip it until you are ready. It makes it much worse by trying to workout and IT WILL linger and push you down futher. You may have to do this for along time but you will keep a mainance of muscle which it does not take much for that to happen.
Get used to it it takes time to get over it as much as 15 months and as little as 2, do not push it, and try to relax as much as you can both at work and at home. Aviod the stress that got you there. You also might have leaky gut Found on this site which I found I have. The cause of EBV is from you surroundings in life so to speak not that you contacted something. It was already in your system most likey and came out because of what happens in your life.

It is contract through EBV. Take the ester c and I knocked out mono in 5 days. I took the tollerance dose for five days then when it was gone dropped to 75%.

Hi, Fred.
Listen to Matt!
You did not have the chronic condition presently called Chronic EBV. You had the acute condition CAUSED by the EBV virus that is called mononucleosis (Mono).
Both are caused by your bodymind getting to the point of low immunity (due to stress-effect storage in the brain, in most cases). If you don't deal with the causes now, you have a great chance of feeling like this for years.
This has been discussed for years right here on this BB. Go to the archives & learn what your choices are.
